Question regarding Counterattack

aptor strike is a “on next hit” ability, so there is no range. Aside from that all melee moves have a 5 yard range.-you’ll always be stupid, you’ll just be stupid with more information in your brain.

Raptor Strike will always be usable because it is a next hit kind of thing, not sure about Mongoose, though, I know it’s instant, but I don’t see why it has such a long range, as you are reporting.- Alla’s Arena/PvP Forum
Click it.i never had this problem when doing pvp or pve….melee range is the same for all melee abilities with (as far as hunters go anyway), maybe you just didnt parry when you thought you did, rather dodged or evaded or something. I dont have any input on this but i believe you are wrong. All the 3 abilities have the same range-Cause am i just a girl who wants to have fun ……and play world of huntercraftA strike that becomes active after parrying an opponent’s attack. This attack deals 110 damage and immobilizes the target for 5 sec. Counterattack cannot be blocked, dodged, or parried.
The talent says the range is melee range, but I have noticed in PVP encounters unless I am standing right in front of my opponent the skill is not usable while Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite are usable at a farther away melee range….it seems like Raptor and Mongoose are based on the range of the melee weapon that is equipped while counterattack is based on a different range value.
Seems to me that counterattack should be based on the same range mechanics as raptor and mongoose…do any of you have any input on why it isnt?
