if you want to ride as a moonkin, and have unlocked the netherwing daily quests, it is very possible.
just go to dragonmaw fotress, wait for it to change you into an orc, go moonkin (notice how you are still an orc) then simply get on the mount of your choice and ride away.
there are a few to this “bug” and they are: if you already unlocked your drake, you will be a moonkin but on the ugly small purple drakes, also you may have to try repeatedly to get it to work. (i believe the bug happens with server lag) but nonetheless i have got this to work on any mount i have laying around, its just a long flight back to shat if you want to show it off. just dont dismount or its game over.
and for the haters and rule nazis i HAVE checked with a gm and they dont cry too much about this, as it does not affect gameplay/give you any unfair only after we’ve lost everything that we’re free to do anything – Tyler Durden

So I recently hit 68 and am loving my flying form to death but I had another thought that was just to tantalizing to keep in my brain. I would really love to have a mount that I can ride with my Moonkin! Maybe even a current mount that would be able to carry our big Owl/Bear butts would be cool; The Drenai Elephants (Elekk?) would be big enough for sure. Even if I had to gain rep with a faction to exhalted I wouldnt mind. I know we would loose some individuality on our riding mounts since all NE and Tauren moonkins look alike, but with our crow forms we all look identical anyways so I am sure this is not an issue. Basically I am not too lazy to click on the Moonkin button after dis-mounting but I would really think it was cool to be a Moonkin while riding. I can just envision a bunch of Antlers coming over the horizon in a stampede of Elekks. I guess this may make it a bit unfair since we get such a good bonus in armor from Moonkin form and running through piles of MOBS wouldn’t make much of a dent in our health and neither would jumping off cliffs.
Does any one else think this would be fun? Anyone think it would be a total waste of their time?
