I say it depends on what you want to do. Overall fire out-dpses frost oe you get the spellfire robes and are not running into mana issues. I started out as frostfsw tailor and determined that my dpsould be better, swihed to firespellfire and got those setsrafted as well (boy was that fun…) I don’t useneed the pies anymore but the dps irease was signifant. To start out an aane-heavy is a widehoe as it makes up for the lk of spelldmg that you will have at the beginning. Oe you get to around 800 spelldmg (unbuffed and without mind mastery) it is a better upgrade dps-wise to move to a fire or frost-heavy build. When you start out raiding I doubt you will have the mana effiey and group makeup to really shine doing an aane-blast rotation when raiding. I would normally just do frostbolts while popping potions or whatever if I got low.
Also think of how long before you upgrade. Fire is going to give you better raid damage. Frost is better for solopvp. oin toss in 5mansheros. With the new badge loot, whh has alot more stamintel then either of therafted sets, and a ton ofrit (or hit, whhever way you need to go), eventually the badge loot is doing to reple the spellfire or shadowweave sets. Alsoonsider the set bonus. Shadowweave set bonus is really garbage for mages, while the set bonus for spellfire is pretty dent. Plus the spellfire gives you bonus to both aane and fire, while shadowweave is only going to help the frost spells.
With the sets, badge loot, and honor eps, gear is pretty easy to get. Just go with what you find more fun for yourself. Fire will be higher DPS. But this doesn’t matter as mh anymore when you starting out. If your the type of person that wants to bring everything theyan to the raid and help out as mh as possible then go fire and sp 40210 untill you get more spell damage. But if frost just seems more fun for you or you like grinding and PVPing with frost then hit up the 40021 sp and have at it. There’s really no wrong answer anymore. You’ll get the gear to make eh sp work. It allomes down to what you like as a player and what will make the game more enjoyable for you. btw, 40210 isn’t a rane sp with some fire spells. It’s a fire sp with aane buffs for you fire spells. Youan play around in heros and sh with AB and AM but in raids the ohfireball rotation will work better with your mana pool and DPS.

in the past week or so and eouragement

Hi everyone. Thanks for theomments in the past week or so and eouragement with the new version of my UI. This is the first UI that I’ve tually felt was a very strong, solid UI in how it works and futions. I hope you guys (no gals, there are no girls on the internet) like it. I have six reenshots as a sort of preview as to what it looks like. I’ll deribe shortly what you’re looking at in eh before I the link, and then down at the bottom of the will be the download link. First up is an O shot, showing myooldown timers. As youan see, they grow to the left and then up to a sond row, giving you a total of 12ooldowns trked. Unfortunately bause of the futionality Blizzard has given to Prep, it’s impossible for the addon toah Prep being used so it won’t erase theooldowns already up if you’ve used Sprint, Vanish, Evasion, or ShS. img.photobketomalbumsv478theophanyreensuiv5-4.jpg After that I’ve got a shot of theast bar positions. Pet is below the player frame if anyone that plays a petlass is worried about that disappearing. Well, you guys got your wish. I have pkaged Omen, Threat 1.0, and BigWigs with my UI, and I’ve got presets all ready to go for them. Beware that Omen and Threat already need updating. points to get a venge pie, is it

Hey, In 2 weeks i will have enough points to get a venge pie, is it worth getting it then or saving up the arena points for Season 4? Does anyone know when S4omes out anyway? I’ve heard Pah 2.4, with the Lh King expansion and numerous things. heers
Try paying more attention. Itomes out independently from 2.4. Also, think for yourself.

blizz will give a two week note before s4omes out. thats all anyone knows.
And by the looks of things, bliz is in 2 minds to about how to balae items(melee trains woo wooo). So, s4 hasn’t been annoued, and it won’t be out a good few weeks until 2.4omes. So the minimum I’d suggest is 5-6 weeks, but I think it will be even later…

s4 isoming before the next expansion, that is for sure. Whoever told you the opposite, has nolue how the system works. Saving up points is plausible, I will be doing it, and so will others. Depending on your rating however, you will need to adjust when to start saving. Also the best thing to do right now is try and get honor with your spare time, I have 50k honor stked, and definitely going to beapped at 75k before s4omes(due to them telling us 2 weeks beforehand Ian farm the amount needed).
WotLK hasn’t even had a beta yet. Ofourse it’s going to be level 70. Make your own damn mind up about whether you’re saving points or not.
I just rated up theo bause, to be fair, if the guy asks another question of the sorts of ‘SO DO I FRIGGING SAVE OR NOT’ I’ll just refer him to theo’s .

those level 11 boots

Youould probably upgrade those level 11 boots somewhere, but all in all you are fine and you shouldn’t beoerned. Oe you hit the 40′s and 50′s you’ll start to note the power and even then don’t beoerned until you hit the outlands about your gear.
I never worried about gear at lower levels, and will never understand why people do. As you level, you’ll get quest rewards that are upgrades, and drops from Instaes, and that is plenty. Why worry about something that you’ll reple in a few levels anyway?

Nightsky Gloves should reple your L17 blue gloves. If youan’t get them as a drop, they are fairlyommon in the AH. the best pants for you are Nromaer Leggings, but they are not veryommon. Instead, I suggest going to Shadowfang Keep and getting Abomination Skin Leggings from Sever (one of the bosses there). Nightsky Boots will do wonders for your feet, and get rid of your lowest level item as well. Again, if youan’t get them as a drop, they are prettyommon in the AH.

from 1-2 Affltion

Any 25-man raid will benefit from 1-2 Affltion warlks, not so mh for UA as foroS andoE with 33 Maledtion. Also, with Dark Pt, Affltion lks are ideally suited to being on imp duty. Destrtion and Demonology both require a lot of spell-hit to be efftive, min suggested spell-hit for 02140 is around 180, and at least 18-20% tooltrit. Affltionan put points into Suppression early in their raidingareer to be hitapped for 50% of their DPS, and it’s less reliant on spellrit. Oh yea I see most of the lks are using Maledtion, where I spked howl of terror, I guess I need tohange my build a bit here. But Howl Of Terror instantast is pretty sweet for solo farming lots of mobs at oe.

When leveling, there’s really no point in taking maledtion over iHoT. It’s a 25 man raiding talent.

Demon Srife makes me sigh in raids (as MT) when I lose all that stam goodness [:wink:] Welp that’s all me and my lv 14 Warlk have to offer you yet =P

take thehae, some dont When

It’s russian roulette. Some priests take thehae, some don’t. When there’s a shadow priest’s and a UA ‘lks dots up on your warrior you’re going to take ahae and start purging, or he’s dead bause you were sileed during a heal. tually.. if they try to do the russian roulette, it’d probably be better to drop 15 SE. Yeah, higherhae of losing a dot, but higherhae of them popping the bomb.

for pvp, yep. though you may want to take 2 from emberstorm or searing pain to put into demon aegis 33. for pve, well itould work, but it won’t be very good.
Isn’t Searing pain one of the key soues of destro dps? and it doesn’t make sense to take points of emberstorm to demon aegis…it would only add 20 spell dmg, withoeffients that would be around +17 dmg per sb, and only adds an additional 8 dmg per searing pain… question… does emberstorm afft your TOTAL dmg? or is it base dmg? emberstorm would add 12 dmg to searing pain(base) and 24 dmg to SB(base). wouldn’t emberstorm be better? also… during pvp, does a warlk use fel armor or demon armor?

Both builds look pretty good and are very good for pvp. I would say it is a matter of what you prefer to play. Shadow embre doesnt add as affltion efft anymore afaik so that points kinda wasted. In your demo sp i would remove the point in soul shon and put it in demon tts. But all in all both sps look good Gz on lvl 70
15 Shadow embre still has its ple in every affltion pvp build. It’s one more debuff that a shammypriestpallywhatever has to dispel to get your dots off someone. Helpful in BG’s, and key in arena.

Phear teh UA bomb.

about tanking stuff now

prot on live is really about tanking stuff now. its dps is poor and the only good thing about having a dedated healer is youan say “LF3M dps then g2g” when you want to instae. in terms of outdoor, non-elite and non-group quests, you’ll be a lot slower as prot than you will as yoururrent build. roughly about 30% slower (give or take) with sword and board if you want a ballpark figure. dual wielding would be a bit better, but still slower than yoururrent build. its not impossible, but it is slow. on the bright side, youould probably outlast anything short of a 5-man elite quest, and youll be really hard to kill in pvp (but equally powerless to kill anything else). also, dont do non-instae stuff in your tank gear if youre prot. dual wield in a dps set is your best bet. get a good amoung of hit (about 6% should do you while leveling) and use devastate as your main attk. you pretty mh want to spam the hell out of it while in battle or zerker stae while using a ne slow main hand and a fast OH. with enough prte youll get into a good groove andan kill things pretty effiently, if not quite as fast as a fury or arms sp.
go prottion and definitely pk up devastate. put together a good set of fury gear and when you quest, just dual wield and spam devastate. youan do some very dent dps, but you are still gear dependent and it ales with your AP. by the way, you want slowslow weapon speed for your fury set – espially if you’re prot sp. however, stats > speed in the off hand. start with something like this. if you are going to tank most of the time, pk up defltion & improved thundelap, thenruelty. if you will be outside instaes more, getruelty first.

quest for my Warrior, I

The last time I did this quest for my Warrior, I diovered that Demo. shoutauses the partants eept Big Will to run away in fear. Some people might already know this, but it definitely helped me this last time around.
I did this quest on my 30 last night. It really isn’t hard (at least for me it wasn’t). I mean, the first fewhallengers are only around level 23-24. So you should be able to take them down fast. After them, you still have some time to bandage or eat, bause Big Will won’t attk until you’re ready and you attk him. As some have said above, the OP is level 60 anyway, so it’s definitely not hard at all. Now, if only Ian try to finish up the whirlwind questhain. Just needing to gather up all of the ingredients for the summon. Woo!
fyi, thoseharms for the summon are not BoP so youan have one of your high level alts do it, or buy them from the AH.

I’ve been leveling elusively with a resto druid, and we finally got to Outland today. Right now I’m using a 2h Splammer build (link here), working my way up to a typal 3328. But now that we’re in Outland, I’monsidering respcing to Prot. I’ve tried tanking on other toons in the past, but never with a dedated healer who definitely knew what they were doing. I know that with a tank and a healer, it would be extremely easy to find dps for instaes, but I’m more worried about while we’re duoing. Here’s where the questionsome in: When we’re not instaing, will our damage output drop to a painful level? When we’re not instaing, should I be using sword and board or dual wielding? Finally (and not at all surprisingly) what should my sp look like? I’ve beenonsidering a Shield SlamFury build, or maybe just going all the way to Devastate. I’m not sure how mh I’ll need Devastate in instaes, and I’m not sure how mh fury talents would help while duoing. Thanks for reading, and I eagerly await any and all feedbk.
